Participatory Varietal Selection for Promising Rice Lines

چکیده
The purpose of rice breeding is to create varieties that are well adapted, highly productive, and acceptable farmers. However, productivity limited as a result combined biotic stresses (pests/diseases). This study combines assessment by farmers with the evaluation breeders respect promising lines within range environments. aim investigate farmers’ preferences characterize yield lines, their resistance pests/diseases consulting 120 breeders. used an oversite design replicated three times thirteen two varieties, which were all evaluated at fields between December 2019 May 2020. Importance Performance Analysis was compare line performance expectations. Lines Gamapadi-2 Gamapadi-4 had highest acceptability scores based on preferences. performances using Finlay–Wilkinson test genotypes environmental models (GGE biplot) determine most stable be recommended for large-scale planting. GGE biplot conclusion analyses also showed exhibited high potential stability, indications specific advantages. results both in locations indicated no symptoms brown planthoppers or bacterial leaf blight due its absence during field research. These age ranges sites blast.

Participatory varietal selection of chickpea in rainfed rice fallow lands of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh in India for sustainable crop production
Production and area of chickpea are reducing every year in India due tocompetition with horticulture and other cash crops in irrigated areas. There is a greatscope for expanding chickpea production with or without limited irrigation in rainfedrice fallow lands (RRFL) in the states of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Nineteenchickpea genotypes were tested using participatory varietal selection (...

In this study, the mechanism of resistance to striped stem borer was investigated in 10 rice genotypes and at different levels of nitrogen fertilizer. In addition, the relationship between some quantitative and qualitative traits of rice genotypes was evaluated with the resistance to striped stem borer. This experiment was conducted as split plot based on randomized complete block design with...
متن کاملAnalysis of the Physicochemical Properties and Grain Yield of Some Rice Promising Lines From Multiple Crosses
Grain quality currently represents a major problem in high yielding rice production in Iran and many other rice producing areas of the world. Quality assessment of rice involves the function of sensory tests and physicochemical determinations based on the chemical composition, cooking quality, gelatinization temperature and physical properties of cooked rice. These research genetic materials we...
متن کاملEngineered Dwarf Male-Sterile Rice: A Promising Genetic Tool for Facilitating Recurrent Selection in Rice
Rice is a crop feeding half of the world's population. With the continuous raise of yield potential via genetic improvement, rice breeding has entered an era where multiple genes conferring complex traits must be efficiently manipulated to increase rice yield further. Recurrent selection is a sound strategy for manipulating multiple genes and it has been successfully performed in allogamous cro...
